Come, Be a Part of the Luxury Heritage Desert Safari Experience

Overview

Would you like to go on a safari in a vintage Land Rover or a posh Range Rover through the golden dunes in search of desert animals like gazelles and Arabian oryx? And why not make your journey across the sands with a local camel caravan, giving you a chance to experience a true nomadic adventure? You’ll have a better time in the wilderness if you go at night. Dine outside at a genuine camp or desert oasis. This trip can include working with a professional astronomer or getting to know the Bedouin people and experiencing their culture. The falconry demonstration, which demonstrates how a skilled falconer teaches the country’s bird to hunt, is one of the most memorable moments. While on the Heritage Desert Safari, guests will explore the private retreat and have the most authentic and distinctive Arabian experience possible. Tripfinder explains the rationale.

Heritage Desert Safari in Dubai overview

Discover Dubai’s most acclaimed heritage safari. With the help of an experienced conservation guide, go back in time and explore Dubai as it was in the 1950s while on an adventure in the Dubai desert. The Heritage desert safari Operators will take you on a fascinating wildlife drive in 1950s vintage Land Rovers, unlike any other Dubai Desert Safari. These Series 1 and Series 2 Land Rovers were the first motorised vehicles used in the Dubai desert and have come to represent Dubai’s history and exploration of uncharted territory. For the most breathtaking photo opportunities in the desert, stop at a Ghaf tree forest in the dunes and search for local wildlife like Arabian oryx in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. Learn about the distinctive desert ecosystem and how Bedouin people coexisted peacefully with desert animals and plants to survive there. Watch these magnificent birds fly in full flight by attending a spectacular falconry show conducted by a professional falconer. Discover how the Bedouin trained falcons and how they were used for hunting. Watch the sand dunes’ backdrop as the Arabian sunsets. Afterwards, arrive at a genuine Bedouin camp that is tucked inside a private desert retreat and is softly lit with antique lamps. With live demonstrations of how Arabic coffee and bread are made, henna art, camel rides, and traditional performances, you can learn about the rich culture and traditions of Dubai’s past. Enjoy a four-course meal outside, then unwind in our Arabic Majilis area, and, if you like, try some shisha (buzzing alcohol). You can now choose how you want to spend your 60 minutes on this safari by customising it. Make sure to select the vintage Land Rover option when making your Heritage Safari reservation.
