Upon arriving at Varanasi Airport, our staff will greet you and transport you to the hotel so that you can check in and spend the night in Varanasi.
You will be taken to Ganga Ghat early in the morning for Holy Dips (free for ritual activities). Following that, you will be taken on a temple tour to see the morning ceremonies at popular temples, including Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, Vishalakshi Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple, B.H.U., Sankat Mochan Temple, and Tulsi Manas Mandir. You will return to the hotel later for breakfast and rest. You will be driven to Sarnath in the early afternoon. Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Sarnath’s key attractions that we visit include the Archaeology Museum, Buddha Temples, Stupas, and others. In the evening, you can witness the holy devotion, or Aarti, on the Ganges Ghats. Daily prayers known as Varanasi Ganga Aarti are performed at the revered Dasaswamedh Ghat. The aarti is performed on a platform by a group of young pandits. The movement of the lights, held in the pandits’ hands, is perfectly timed to the musical serenades of psalms and the crash of cymbals. The air is strongly scented with sandalwood, which has a strong aroma. Then we return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we hit the roads to Prayagraj, the famous historical and most populated city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Upon arriving, we will visit Anand Bhavan, the Sacred Triveni Sangam, or Allahabad Prayag. The meeting of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the fabled Saraswati is known as Triveni Sangam. Those who take a dip in the Sangam are said to be released from the burden of grave sins. After the tour, we return to the Varanasi hotel to spend the night in Varanasi.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Bodhgaya, where you will check into a hotel. Later, we explore the Lord Buddha Temple (Maha Bodhi Temple), the main Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, where Buddha meditated and gained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. Return to the hotel in Bodhgaya for the night.
Day 05: Bodh Gaya Sightseeing – Varanasi (300 km / 6 hrs approx)
Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and explore the Japanese Temple, Chinese Temple, Tibetan Temple, and Phalguna River. After sightseeing, we will return to Varanasi and check into your hotel for the night.
