After breakfast, it’s time to leave Pattaya and head to Bangkok for a memorable half-day tour of three significant temples that hold great cultural and spiritual importance.

Our first stop is at Wat Trimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. This modern temple is home to a remarkable 3-meter tall Buddha statue made of solid gold. Weighing an astonishing 5.5 tons, this Sukhothai-style Buddha was discovered accidentally when a painted statue was being relocated and dropped, revealing the gleaming gold sculpture beneath.

Continuing our journey, we pass through Chinatown and reach Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. This temple is one of Bangkok’s oldest and most revered temples. The highlight here is the colossal 46-meter-long reclining Buddha, which stands at an impressive 15 meters in height. This magnificent statue represents the passing of the Buddha into nirvana. Wat Pho is also known for being the birthplace of traditional Thai massage and houses Thailand’s largest collection of Buddha images.

Our final temple visit takes us to Wat Benchamabophit, commonly known as the Marble Temple. This elegant monastery was constructed in the 19th century using pristine white Italian marble from Carrara. It is renowned for its architectural beauty and houses one of the most exquisite Buddha images in Thailand.
