When you land in London, our representative will be waiting to meet you and take you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is available for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Step back in time to a simpler world filled with stunning countryside scenery and charming little cottages. The Cotswolds is a picturesque collection of villages and the ideal setting for lunch and a cup of tea. The day tour starts at Burford, a lovely medieval town known by many as “the gateway to the Cotswolds.” You will have enough time to wander down the grand high street, which is lined with structures made of every type of Cotswold stone. There will be time to browse the shops and tea houses before we continue south to Bibury, which William Morris dubbed the “prettiest village in the Cotswolds.”
Adore the cottages constructed in the late 1300s, which are also portrayed on the interior of every passport issued by the United Kingdom. This location may also be familiar to you if you’ve seen the movie “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” What better way to fill your appetite for lunch than with a delicious two-course lunch at the Swan Hotel, located in Bibury overlooking the River Coln? The historic coaching inn from the 17th century offers a fantastic selection of traditional cuisine, ales, and high-quality wines. Relax and unwind in comfortable recliners in warm, unique rooms. If you’re lucky, you could even catch a glimpse of a mother swan and her signets as they float along the river.
In the afternoon, we enjoy a relaxing drive through beautiful towns before reaching Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, two of the most attractive parts of the northern Cotswolds. Before re-boarding the coach and travelling back to London, your guide will lead you on a brief tour of each town while describing its history. You’ll also have time to visit some of the numerous shops and tea rooms along the way.

See Stonehenge, a Bronze Age site, Salisbury, a medieval cathedral city, Windsor Castle, and Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its magnificent Georgian architecture and old Roman baths, to discover intriguing history and architecture.
Stonehenge
Admire the mysterious Stonehenge, which has defied both man and the environment for 5,000 years. Around 80 stones, some of which weigh up to 40 tons, are still in place. How did they get there? What was its purpose? Was it a final resting place? Was that an astronomical clock? Learn more about this historic structure that baffles experts even today.
Bath
Take a scenic tour of Bath, passing through the spectacular Gothic Abbey, which dates back to the fourteenth century. The beautiful Pulteney Bridge provides one of the best views of the city.
Windsor Castle
Visit Windsor Castle, the world’s most magnificent, largest, and oldest-occupied castle. You could be fortunate enough to be at the castle when the Queen is there, as she frequently spends her weekends here. There are many things to see and do around the 13 acres of land at the castle, including watching the guard change, admiring some of the most priceless works of art, such as paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, and Canaletto, and touring the most popular and impressive doll house in the world.
Salisbury Cathedral
Witness what many people consider to be Britain’s best medieval cathedral. When it was constructed 800 years ago, the cathedral’s 123-meter spire—still the tallest in England marked a breakthrough in cathedral design. See one of the four remaining original copies of the Magna Carta, the renowned pact signed by King John and his barons in 1215, in the Chapter House.
Spend the night at a hotel.
Breakfast is served at the hotel, and the rest of the day is free for you to explore or take a private, full-day tour of London’s magnificent royal landmarks with an expert Blue Badge guide. You’ll learn about the city’s most popular locations, like the Tower of London, the best of Westminster, and the chance to watch the Changing of the Guard.
Experience Royal London on this grand day trip that starts in the centre of Westminster, continues to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guards, and concludes with a view of the stunning Crown Jewels at the Tower of London.
Join your guide in Westminster to take a tour of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the Houses of Parliament. Discover Parliament Square’s connection to the Crown and its political past. Since 1066, 38 coronations, as well as several royal marriages and burials, including the weddings of Prince William and Kate Middleton and Her Majesty the Queen, have taken place in Westminster Abbey.
From Westminster, make your way up Birdcage Walk to witness the majesty and spectacle of the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Follow the Guardsmen and military band to Buckingham Palace in their distinctive red jackets and black bearskin helmets. Proceed towards Trafalgar Square along Horseguards Parade and down Whitehall, which is home to 10 Downing Street, where the British Prime Minister resides and is the political hub of the UK.
Take a beautiful boat trip to Tower Bridge along the Thames. From the boat, you can view St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London and Waterloo Bridges, the London Eye, the Globe, and the skyscrapers. Following a lunch break at St. Katherine’s Docks, your guide will accompany you on a private tour of the iconic Tower of London with pre-booked tickets.
As we enter the Tower of London! Uncover the numerous tales and scandals that are concealed behind the walls of this historic structure by passing the Traitor’s Gate. Once a moated royal residence, it later served as an armoury, a royal mint, a zoo, and most infamously, a prison for traitors. You’ll get to know the Beefeaters and ravens that keep watch over the Tower and learn the backstories of some of its best-known inmates, including the young princes in the Tower, Queen Anne Boleyn, and Lady Jane Grey, whose prison cell still has the graffiti she left behind.
Roam inside the Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula, where several famous queens are buried, and explore the fortress’s oldest part, the White Tower, where you can wander the battlements and enter the torture cells.
Most importantly, you will be able to view the dazzling Royal Jewels, which are guarded behind tight security in the aptly named Jewel House. Your guide will wait for you at the exit because of the tight security measures in place and the moving viewing platform, your guide is unable to accompany you. The tour would end within the Tower, allowing you to continue exploring on your own time or return with your guide to the hotel.
In Buckingham Palace, the Changing of the Guard typically takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. However, this is subject to change due to weather conditions.
You can see the changing of the guards at the Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Breakfast at the hotel, check out, and transfer to the airport to board your flight.
