Colombo is Sri Lanka’s largest city and its commercial capital. Situated on the western coast, this dynamic metropolis has a blend of contemporary and colonial features. The architecture of Colombo reflects a wide range of styles and spans several centuries. There are many buildings constructed in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Indian, and contemporary architectural styles coexisting with several colonial buildings inspired by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. The Fort neighbourhood is the best example of this in the centre of the city. Colombo also has several shopping malls and department stores that sell brand-name clothes at deeply discounted prices. As a result, it is now a popular tourist destination for shopping.

During your city tour of Colombo, you may see popular places such as Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, the Twin World Trade Centre towers, the Old Parliament Building, the Fort area, and the Lotus Tower Independence Hall at Independence Square. One Galle Face, Arcade Independence Square, Colombo City Centre, Noritake, and other locations are good places to shop.

Sri Lanka is a top travel destination in Asia, offering adventures such as nature walks, beach relaxation, elephant parks, and nightlife. Visitors can enjoy solitude, steady walks, beach relaxation, close encounters with elephants, selfies, and nightlife. The island also offers a variety of nightlife options and casino games for thrill-seekers. Overall, Sri Lanka offers a diverse range of attractions to suit all interests.

After that, continue in the direction of Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little England’, is a charming highland community with colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels, hedgerows, and gardens. It was once the preferred escape for English and Scottish pioneers of Sri Lanka’s tea industry.

Enroot and Ramboda visit the Ramboda Falls.

The 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, the waterfall cascades down two tiers of rock, dropping 358 feet into a rocky pool. It’s a must-see for nature lovers and offers a 2-kilometre uphill trail for those who enjoy hiking. Bird watchers can spot rare birds in the trees singing their merry songs.
