DAY 01: ARRIVE IN TBILISI

 

Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport, where our guide will warmly welcome you. We’ll transfer you to your comfortable hotel for check-in, allowing you to rest and prepare for the delightful adventures that lie ahead in enchanting Georgia. Get ready to explore the wonders of Tbilisi tomorrow!

 

DAY 2: FULL DAY GUDAURI – KAZBEGI TOUR WITH 4X4 VEHICLE

 

 

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, get ready for an exciting 8-hour adventure starting at 10:00 AM from the hotel reception. We’ll head north along the Georgian Military Highway, venturing into the breathtaking high Caucasus Mountains.

 

Accompanied by our knowledgeable tour guide, we’ll first visit the Ananuri Fortress, once a residence of Argveti Dukes. Explore this historical complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the XVI-XVII centuries.

 

Next, we’ll reach the rustic and awe-inspiring Gergeti Trinity Church, offering stunning mountain views. To fully experience this breathtaking site, we’ll switch to a four-wheel-drive vehicle and ascend to the church perched at an altitude of 2170 meters, where the majestic Mount Kazbegi stands tall.

 

Continuing on the Georgian Military Highway, we’ll pass through the remarkable Dariali Gorge, an astonishingly steep cleft in the mountains connecting Russia and Georgia. The gorge stretches for 18 kilometers from Stepantsminda to the Russian border, presenting medieval watchtowers, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife. Birdwatchers will be enthralled by the opportunity to spot eagles, hawks, and the magnificent griffon vultures nesting among the rocky outcrop.

 

After an unforgettable day of exploration, we’ll return to Tbilisi. Check-in at the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay, as you rest and cherish the memories of today’s exhilarating journey.

 

DAY 3: KAKHETI TOUR + WINE TASTING

 

Today, we embark on a delightful journey to Kakheti, fondly known as the “Cradle of Wine,” situated in the eastern part of Georgia. This picturesque region is a haven for wine enthusiasts and offers a blend of stunning sights, delectable local cuisine, traditional folk songs, and a fascinating insight into Georgian wine-making tradition.

Kakheti’s allure lies in its rustic charm, welcoming locals, and the art of winemaking passed down through generations. Join us on this remarkable journey, as you savor the finest wines, explore historical gems, and take in the mesmerizing landscapes that make Kakheti a treasure trove of unforgettable experiences.

 

Your Day’s Highlights:

• Relish a delicious breakfast at the hotel, energizing you for the day’s adventure.
• At 10:00 AM, we’ll depart for the captivating Kakheti region, which is approximately a two-hour drive from Tbilisi.
• Our first stop will be at a renowned wine factory, where you’ll indulge in a delightful wine tasting experience, savoring the rich flavors of Georgian wines.
• Our next stop takes us to the charming village of Badiauri, where you can witness a local bakery in action. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase local Georgian bread, cheese, and Chacha, a traditional Georgian vodka.
• We’ll continue our journey to Bodbe, a spiritually significant site and the burial place of St. Nino, a revered Saint who played a pivotal role in introducing Christianity to Georgia. The location offers impressive views, ideal for capturing beautiful photographs.
• Next, we proceed to Sighnaghi, affectionately known as the “City of Love,” offering a breathtaking view of the Alazani Valley.
• A leisurely walking tour in Sighnaghi awaits you, where you’ll have the chance to discover the “Great Wall of Georgia,” adding a touch of historical intrigue to your day.
• At the end of the day, we make our way back to Tbilisi, giving you the opportunity to relax and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 04: MTSKHETA, GORI & UPLISIKE TOUR

 

After breakfast explore the historic town of Sketa, uncovering ancient churches and monasteries. Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities of the country and its first capital. The city is located among rocky mountains, at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.

The city is just a few kilometers away from Tbilisi. Continue to Gori, birthplace of Joseph Stalin, and visit the Stalin Museum. Discover the intriguing Uplisike cave town, offering insight into Georgia’s past. Return to Tbilisi, overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

DAY 05: DEPARTURE
