Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVE IN SRINAGAR (D)

  • Arrive at Srinagar Airport, be welcomed, and then be taken to your hotel.
  • Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, is 1585 metres above sea level. The houseboats, lakes, and gardens in the city are world-famous. There are also lots of dried fruits and traditional Kashmiri crafts to be found. The city is bordered on both sides by the Jhelum River, also known as Vyath in Kashmir.
  • Enjoy Mughal Garden in the afternoon.
  • The Mughal Gardens, one of Srinagar’s most popular and frequently visited tourist attractions, significantly changed how the Mughal Empire appeared. The natural beauty of the area, which is filled with fragrant flowers and lush green grass, is relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. The visitors stroll for hours in the garden or simply sit and take in the scenery. Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, Achabal, and Verinag Garden are all parts of Srinagar’s Mughal Gardens. Emperor Jahangir, who has always had a steadfast love for Kashmir, is honoured by the splendour of the gardens.
  • Dinner overnight at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY 02: SRINAGAR–PAHALGAM–SRINAGAR (B, D)

  • On the second day, a day trip to Pahalgam was taken after breakfast (Valley of Shepherds). In about three hours, the 92 km will be travelled. See the lovely countryside while travelling to Saffron Fields and the Awantipura ruins, an 1100-year-old Lord Vishnu temple constructed by King Awantiwareman. Enjoy Pahalgam and return to Srinagar later that evening. Pahalgam, which is located in the picturesque Liddar valley in the high Himalayas, is renowned for its scenic beauty. It offers the perfect environment for fishing, hiking, and trekking. Additionally, it serves as the starting point for the yearly pilgrimage to Amarnath’s sacred cave.
  • Dinner overnight at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY 03: SRINAGAR - GULMARG – SRINAGAR (B, D)

  • After breakfast, go on a day trip to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers). 56 kilometres will be covered in about two hours. The highest golf course in the world and one of the best ski slopes in the world are both located in Gulmarg. Throughout its existence, Gulmarg has drawn millions of visitors attracted by the scenic beauty of the Himalayan Mountains. The Gulmarg Gondola, the highest cable car in the world, is one of the main attractions in Gulmarg.
  • If the weather permits, one can also see Nanga Parbat. One of the 14 eight-thousanders is Nanga Parbat. Nanga Parbat, an enormous, dramatic peak that towers above the landscape around it, is renowned for being challenging to climb and has earned the moniker “Killer Mountain” due to the high rate of climber fatalities.
  • Enjoy the first phase of the gondola ride. Gondolas were Venice’s primary mode of transportation centuries ago. They are now a very well-liked tourist destination and may be the most recognisable representation of Venice. A gondola is a typical long, slender rowing boat used in Venice.
  • Returning to Srinagar later in the evening. Overnight at a hotel in Srinagar for dinner.

DAY 04: SRINAGAR–SONAMARG–SRINAGAR (B, D)

  • A full-day excursion to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow), which is about 83 km away, will take about 2–12 hours to complete. Sonamarg is located in the flower-filled Sindh Valley, which is encircled by mountains. The starting point for some fascinating treks to the high-elevation Himalayan lakes is Sonamarg.
  • Enjoy sledging on the snow and riding horses up to the Thajwas glacier. The Thajiwas Glacier, which is 3000 metres above sea level, is known as “the hidden jewel of Kashmir.” It is one of Sonamarg’s main draws because of its abundance of verdant meadows and towering, snow-capped mountains. In addition to being beautiful, this location is well-known to hikers and adventurers.
  • Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar.
  • Dinner overnight at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY 05: SRINAGAR DEPARTURE (B)

  • Take a shikhara ride on Dal Lake in the morning, stopping at floating gardens and vegetable fields. One of the most tranquil, unwinding experiences of a Kashmir holiday is a shikhara ride. The Srinagar lakes are crowded with long boats called shikharas. Tourists travel from all over the world to Kashmir to visit Dal Lake because of its famed beauty.
  • Transfer to the airport for your flight home after breakfast.
