We hit the beautiful roads of Paseo de Reforma. This 12-kilometre stretch is lined with monuments to important Mexican historical figures and events like Christopher Columbus, the War of Independence, and the Aztec emperor Cuauhtemoc. Then we move on to see the stunning art nouveau masterpiece that is the Palace of Fine Arts along Avenida Juarez, which features a blend of ancient and modern structures. Take in the delicate beauty of the House of Tiles, an 18th-century mansion with a facade fully covered in blue and white tiles.
On the way to the great Zocalo square, where you can find a huge Mexican flag, you can see a variety of famous landmarks, including the main post office and the Bank of Mexico. You will see the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral as well as the Baroque National Palace, which features the famous frescoes by renowned artist Diego Riera.
We continue the next part of the tour by visiting artisan shops and the Revolution Monument before travelling to the historic Colonia Guerrero district and the majestic skyscrapers of the Financial District. Finally, if you choose the museum option, wander around the lovely Chapultepec neighbourhood, which is still controlled by the former Imperial Palace, and pay a visit to the National Museum of Anthropology, where you can see a magnificent collection of Aztec, Olmec, and Maya artefacts.
