Royal Palace and Prado Museum Guided Tour: We will gather in the Plaza del Oriente at 9:45 a.m. to begin our guided tour of the Royal Palace of Madrid. The statue of Felipe IV will be our point of departure.
The main halls of the magnificent structure will be visited, the most impressive of which are the Throne Room, the Mirror Hall, and the Gaspari Chamber. Can you determine how many bedrooms this palace—one of the biggest in all of Europe—has?

Following our tour of the Royal Palace, we’ll embark on a guided walking tour of Madrid, during which we’ll visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Plaza del Oriente, the Congress, and the recognisable Puerta del Sol. 
The Prado Museum, one of the most significant art museums in the world, will be our next stop. Move along!

We’ll stroll through the Prado Museum’s principal halls during a 1-hour, 30 minute tour. The Meninas by Velázquez, “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Bosch, and “3 de Mayo en Madrid” by Goya are a few of the prominent pieces on display. Additionally, you will be able to view other masterpieces by renowned artists like El Greco, Rubens, Rembrandt, Sorolla, and others. The tour ends at the Prado Museum’s front entrance at 3 o’clock.

Breakfast at the hotel. On this day trip from Madrid, visit Segovia and Toledo, two of the most well-known cities in Spain. You’ll find Segovia, the location of a magnificent Roman aqueduct, and the “City of Three Cultures.” You can even extend the tour to Vila if you’d like to see its famous walls.

Meet your guide at the Las Ventas metro station at 7:45 a.m. to embark on a 10-hour trip to the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites of Toledo and Segovia.
Toledo, also referred to as the “City of the Three Cultures,” will be the first stop on the journey. This city was home to Muslim, Jewish, and Christian landmarks during the centuries that the three communities coexisted.
You will enjoy exploring its 2,000-year-old architectural, artistic, and urban heritage as you meander through its winding, steep streets, gardens, and squares under the guidance of your knowledgeable English-speaking guide. You’ll arrive at the Toledo Cathedral, one of Spain’s most notable Gothic structures, as well as the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, which houses the tombs of the Catholic monarchs. Before moving on to the next stop, you can also take in the most breathtaking panoramic views of Toledo from the Mirador del Valle and the Puente de San Martin (Valle Lookout).
You’ll have time to eat lunch once you get to Segovia. You will then proceed on foot to the Roman aqueduct, one of Spain’s best-preserved Roman structures. The stunning Cathedral, also known as the “Dama de las Catedrales” (Lady of the Cathedrals), will also catch your attention because of its intriguing Gothic and Renaissance architecture.
The Alcázar, one of the most popular castles in the nation, is the next stop on your tour. You’ll follow your guide through the streets of the Canonjas neighbourhood to get there. The mediaeval city walls that formerly encircled the entire town can be seen from here.
Finally, we’ll depart Segovia for Madrid at 5 o’clock in the evening. The meeting place in Madrid will be reached at 6:45 p.m.

A train to Barcelona should be taken after breakfast. Check into your hotel as soon as you arrive. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please.

To begin our guided tour, we will gather at 311 Sardenya St., right by the Sagrada Familia. The Sagrada Familia is a landmark in Barcelona and the grandest vision of the gifted Catalan architect Antoni Gaud. Whether this is your first time visiting or you’ve been there before, you’re sure to be enthralled by the intricate details and gravity-defying towers of the ever-evolving Sagrada Familia. The as-yet-unfinished basilica is a masterpiece of Modernist architecture. Without waiting in line, enter Gaud’s singular creation with a knowledgeable English-speaking guide who will point out the Catholic symbolism buried within the sculptures adorning the church’s various façades.

You’ll enter to explore its unexpected interior, which was decorated with enormous columns that resemble a concrete forest and was inspired by nature. The church will be further illuminated by a rainbow of colors as the light enters through the stained glass windows.
Admire Gaud’s blueprints and sketches to learn how he conceptualised his most famous piece of art, a temple with 18 towers that is gradually taking shape thanks to funds raised through admission fees and donations from outside sources.

Montserrat Half-Day Trip and Cogwheel Train Ride 

From Barcelona, travel to Montserrat for five hours. Take a traditional cogwheel train from the bottom of the holy mountain to Montserrat Abbey, one of the most significant religious sites in Spain. After meeting your tour guide at Barcelona’s Estación del Norte, you’ll travel further inland to board the renowned Montserrat cogwheel train. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views as you travel the 15 minutes uphill to a height of almost 2,000 feet (600 meters). After taking in some breathtaking vistas, we’ll reach the Montserrat Sanctuary. The Virgin Mary appeared miraculously in one of the mountain’s caves, giving this location its reputation for having rocky surroundings and its status as a place of worship. We’ll go to the Basilica in Montserrat, which is where the stunning twelfth-century “Virgen Moreneta,” Catalonia’s patron saint, is kept. The name Montserrat means “mountain saw” in Catalan. One of the most visited pilgrimage sites in Spain for many years was this temple. We’ll give you some free time to sample four different local liqueurs after you’ve explored the basilica’s interior. The Espai Audio Visual Museum in Montserrat is also included in this tour, and you are welcome to visit it on your own time if you like.

After breakfast, depart from the hotel and travel to Lisbon, where you check into a hotel and spend the night.

We’ll meet at the Afonso de Albuquerque Garden at 9 a.m., and then we’ll start our walking tour of the various Lisbon neighbourhoods. In just one day, we’ll tour the Portuguese capital’s most famous neighbourhoods and visit its most significant landmarks with your guide.

The day will begin with an exploration of the Belém neighbourhood, where we’ll have the chance to sample the neighbourhood’s well-known cream cakes and see the Jerónimos Monastery. We will undoubtedly be able to visit the Belém Tower and view the Monument to the Discoveries’ exterior. After that, we’ll proceed to Lisbon’s centre, where we’ll stop at 1 o’clock for a break. You’ll have an hour and a half of free time to rest up at a nearby restaurant. We’ll continue on our way to the Santa Justa Elevator and the Rua Augusta Arch, two of the city’s most iconic tourist destinations, with renewed vigour. Which of these structures has a connection to the Eiffel Tower? We’ll discover that!

The Baixa neighbourhood, home to Rossio Square (also known as Praça Dom Pedro IV), will be the next stop on the tour. The Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II, the train station, and one of the city’s most renowned cafes can all be seen from this angle. The afternoon will be spent touring Chiado, the hippest neighbourhood in Lisbon, as well as Bairro Alto, Mouraria, and Alfama. We’ll visit the San Roque and Santo Domingo churches, and from Santa Lucia and San Pedro de Alcantara viewpoints, we’ll take in the best panoramic views of the city. The views from San Jorge Castle will captivate you. We’ll visit the city’s most artistic neighbourhood, Chiado, as well as Barrio Alto, Mouraria, and Alfama in the morning.

We’ll visit Sao Roque and the Church of Saint Domingos, and from the Santa Luca and S. Pedro de Alcantara viewpoints, we’ll take in the best panoramic views the city has to offer. You’ll be in awe of the views from So Jorge Castle! The tour will come to an end in Alfama, a neighbourhood known for its fado houses and restaurants, at 6 o’clock.

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll meet at the appointed time in Rossio Square in front of the Dona Maria II National Theatre to travel to Sintra, which is only 30 minutes away from Lisbon. As soon as we arrive in Sintra, we’ll begin exploring the village’s historic district and its many attractions. We can see the Manueline-style exterior of the National Palace of Sintra, which was originally built in Arab style and renovated in the 15th century. It’s on the World Heritage List, did you know that? The Quinta da Regaleira Palace, a mysterious complex with many secrets, lore, and mysteries, will then be our next stop. Additionally, it has grottoes, waterfalls, gardens brimming with exotic species, and even an initiation well. Have you been able to eat anything? Following your tour of Quinta da Regaleira, we’ll give you an hour to eat lunch on your own.  The Pena National Park and Palace, Sintra’s most famous landmark and one of Portugal’s most popular destinations, will be the next stop. Did you know that during the nineteenth century, it served as the royal residence of Portugal? We’ll fill you in on all the fascinating details tucked away within its walls! After that, we’ll reach Cascais, a quaint and traditional fishing village. We’ll travel through the historic district’s cobblestone streets to get to the bay there.
Finally, between 10 and 11 hours later, we will say goodbye in Praça dos Restauradores in Lisbon. Staying the night in a hotel in Lisbon.
