Breakfast at the hotel The Hagia Sophia Mosque was constructed during the reign of Manuel Komnenos I. It is now used as a mosque (1238–1263). After Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered Trabzon in 1461, the structure was transformed into a gallery and turned into a foundational system. Sera Lake is a 4-kilometre-long body of water. One hundred fifty metres wide on average. The depth is 55 metres. It was created when a slope in the Sera Valley was closed off and dumped into the sea after it was 3 km from the coast. The intriguing aspect is that it materialises right before people’s eyes within a short period of time. The Atatürk Pavilion was constructed at the start of the 20th century inside a small pine tree in the Souksu neighbourhood. Atatürk stayed here during his visits to Trabzon in 1934 and 1937. After the Great Leader passed away, Trabzon Municipality converted it into a museum. Boztepe is a special location with a panoramic view where you can escape the bustle of the city.
Breakfast at the hotel The first destination is Uzungol, 100 kilometres from Trabzon. En route, we’ll stop at a factory to sample some locally renowned fresh tea.
The lake, which is 1090 metres above sea level and situated in the middle of a valley, was created when landslides blocked the course of a stream and were encircled by magnificent forested areas. We will eat lunch by the lake, and then we will have some free time to take in the scenery and fresh air.
After this exciting experience, we’ll travel to the Ayder Plateau to see the waterfalls and hot springs and enjoy a picnic lunch outdoors. The Ayder Plateau, located in Rize Çamlıhemşin, is a 1350-metre-altitude plateau in Turkey, showcasing the Black Sea region. A popular tourism hub, it offers unique experiences in accommodation, gastronomy, and excursions. It’s an ideal escape from everyday life, offering serene Kaçkar Mountains beauty and a peaceful vacation. Turkish tea will be served at Ottoman Bridge during our final stop before returning to Trabzon.
Breakfast at the hotel Zigana Pass. Mountain Pass is covered in snow for five months of the year. At 1.795 metres above sea level and 1.702 metres in length, the Zigana Tunnel under the pass is one of the nation’s longest tunnels.
A group of caves known as Karaca Cave is situated close to Torul. The dripstone formations in the Karaca cave are abundant. These dripstones come in a variety of sizes, patterns, and hues. Dripstone stalactites, stalagmites, and travertines can be found inside the cave. On some travertines and stalagmites, there is also a great deal of cave roces.
